Yep.  That's what YOU are.  Just Unbelievable.  I just can't believe that we have been ALLOWED to stand up on stage and play our songs for you while you stand in front of us, rocking out, listening, and SINGING it all back to us FOR MORE THAN 20 YEARS!!!

I'm humbled, appreciative, and I love you.  That's right, I said it! I LOVE YOU!!! I'm not one of those guys afraid of commitment.  I'm committed to you!!! WE LOVE YOU!!!!!

What a fun show.  Just a BLAST from beginning to end... And Mikee Carnicom ROCKED IT!!!! Thanks Mikee for helping us out, you know you always have a home with us...

Hello Terashain Family...

As most of you already know, today marks the one year anniversary that Dustin Feldhaus (Niki's son, and Lance's stepson) gave the ultimate sacrifice for this country in Afghanistan.  While we are all still reeling from this tragedy, I think it's so important to remember those EVERYWHERE in the Armed Forces that risk life and limb for us all each and every day.

I know I share with all of you the thoughts and prayers for Dustin's family and friends today, and every day.  In time, may the tears turn to smiles as we remember such an amazing American Hero, and what he did for us all.

God Bless this amazing country, and the families of these fine soldiers.

HELLO FRIENDS!!! How the hell are ya??!

Man, OH MAN, are we looking forward to hanging out with you at the Bang Tango show on April 7th, at Club Red!!! We will be opening the show on the Red Owl side of the club... AND we will be celebrating the release of our new CD "Terashain - Live at Club Red"!!!!! YEAH, it's been a long time in the making, but it's finally here, and some of YOU are on it!!! I've been listening to the mixes trying to find out who is who with the screams and I've definitely got some of you picked out! Way cool.

The CD will contain 12 tracks recorded live at Club Red in March and September of 2010.  We left it pretty much EXACTLY as we play live... with mistakes and all!!! We just don't believe in doctoring it all up in a studio so that it really isn't a live CD at all. Hell, we embrace our mistakes!  That's part of what makes US, US!!!!!

The CD will be $12 and available at Club Red that night.  THIS IS GONNA BE A HUGE CD RELEASE PARTY! DON'T MISS IT!

Just wanted to share with all of you Terashain fans the video that accompanies the song that Lance and I wrote for Lances stepson, Dustin Feldhaus.  Dustin was killed almost a year ago in Afghanistan.  Lance and I have been involved in a writing project called SHOTGUN POETS for a while now, and we just really wanted to pay tribute to our hero, Dustin, as well as ALL of the Warriors of America!  The video has been posted to the home page of this site.  Please take a look at it, and join us in celebrating Veterans and Military personnel everywhere!

We just wanted to drop you all a quick note to let you know that TERASHAIN's alter ego band, WILDFIRE will be playing TONIGHT at the City of Glendale's Chocolate Affaire! The show starts at 5pm and goes until 6:30 and is FREE! This is a Family event put on by the city and it promotes Valentines Day... Oh yeah.  It's almost here.  It's been a long time coming, and now it's almost here! FRIENDS, please try to make it out to our one and only scheduled show for the end of the year - The Blooze Bar on Friday, November 18th... It won't cost ya a damn thing to get in, and it's gonna be a helluva night!  We have a few tweaks we've made to the set list, and we will tell ya all about another project that we have going on called WildFire, and we will even play you a few tunes from it!

Thanks for stopping by!  We just wanted to let you all know that we had to postpone our October 8th show at The Blooze Bar until November 18th!  Please mark your calendars.  We had some scheduling conflicts for October 8th, and the next available date at the Blooze was for November 18th... This is one of the few remaining events that we have planned for the remainder of the year, if not THE ONLY ONE, so you won't want to miss this show!  As always, we promise to play your favorite Arena Rock cover tunes, Terashain originals, and to put on one hell of a PARTY!  But we will also be pulling a few surprises out of our hats, as only we tend to do now and then... So come on out to The Blooze Bar on November 18th and party with us!  There is NO COVER charge at The Blooze...

Well, LONG TIME, NO HEAR, eh?! Sorry bout that, gang.  LOTS have gone on in the last few months around the Terashain meeting room, and, well we've pretty much kept it all to ourselves... 

I wanted to relay to you that Dave Hassie has moved to Tampa, FL, and is settled in, and is VERY HAPPY there! Life is going GREAT for him in so many ways, and all of us are very happy for him.  He wanted me to let all of you know that he really didn't get the chance to say "Goodbye" to many of you, and he wishes that could've been different.  As he told me the day he left, however, "This aint goodbye, Rog... It's just Goodbye for now..."  Love that guy!! 

And now on with the show... So many things going on in our camp... We are all working on some side projects, and still trying to re-vamp the Terashain show back into a one-guitarist show.  We will be bring that show back out to you on October 8th at The Blooze Bar... This is a HUGE homecoming show, and all of us, and Tumbleweed are very excited.  In addition to coming home, we will be celebrating Roger's Birthday, Mike Reilly's Birthday, and Dustin Feldhaus's Birthday!  This will be a good time, folks, and probably just about the only time for the rest of the year that you will be able to catch us!!! So come out and PLAY!!!

And of course, the new website... I was just getting tired of the same old thing, and needed a different look.  Kind of like getting a fancy new haircut.  We hope you like it, and please let us know!!! We will be bring in some real cool stuff in the near future...

Finally, HUGE thanks to Rose Bowser for creating our new Band Icon, and Dave Hassie for coloring and refining it!  It's amazing, and it's a great tribute to a band that has weathered out the storms for the last 20 years!!! Thanks, guys!!!

Hey All! Thanks for poppin in.... (almost said poopin in... don't poopin yet...Wait till ya get off the puter...)

We hope you are all doing well!  So much going on round here lately, and I just wanted to reach out and let you all know where we are at....

I want to start by thanking you all for the incredible show back on the 16th over at O'Kelley's.  You were AMAZING, and you have no idea how badly we needed to be around all of you, given the circumstances surrounding the loss of Dustin.  Also, your support of Dave was AMAZING, and we really gave him a good send off!  I have had the pleasure of working with him for 9 years now, and I'm gonna miss him HUGE!  He has his "iron" in a whole lot of fires right now, and he's finally getting around to some of those iron's, and now he will have more time for all of that.  Dave will ALWAYS be a part of this family... after all, it's kinda like a 'Mafia'... once you're in, you're in for LIFE!  LOL....

We have decided to continue to run Terashain as a four-piece for the time being... We will be working out an all new show, and we really don't want to be out training a new guitarist for the next 6 months.  Tevis is very capable of handling the guitar work for our cover show, and has already been working hard on covering the parts that have traditionally been Dave's.

You can catch us in our separate projects in the next few weeks... Please come out and say HEY and support these bands... Lance will be at Club Red with Bang Tango on Friday, April 29th... JQ is playing bass right now with Chemicals of Democracy and will be playing at Joe's Grotto Saturday, April 30th.  Please go and hang out with these guys and see them outside of Terashain!!

AND, we are working on the next CD, TERASHAIN - LIVE at Club Red... I've been listening to the recordings, and trying to pick out the tunes to go on the CD.  I will be meeting with Pat Driscoll soon to put them down as final recordings and then ship them off to be duplicated.  I don't yet have a date for you, but I'll let you know as soon as I do!  We also have several tunes in the works for our next full length Studio CD.

Thanks for stickin by us, no matter what happens... You all are amazing friends, and we LOVE YOU!  Keep in touch with us, and we will be back out in the clubs very soon...

By now most of you know the horrible news that hit this Terashain family this last Tuesday.  PFC Dustin Feldhaus, Niki's son, and Lance's stepson was killed in Afghanistan during an ambush while defending this country.  If you have been to any of our shows in the last 10 years, you know how passionate we are about toasting to the Troops.  And when Dustin went off to fight with the 101st Airborne, I couldn't have been more proud... and worried.  We toasted every night that we played, and we had him in the forefront of our minds and hearts when we did it.  Now our worst fears have slapped us all right in face, and friends, it stings... it stings hard.  So hard that I really don't have much to say right now.  I'm shocked, stunned, and my heart hurts, and I know that all of you are feeling the same.  I will do what I can to keep you all posted on details surrounding services for Dustin.  Until then, please keep Niki, Lance and the entire family in your hearts and prayers, and hug your loved ones a little tighter tonight knowing that we all CAN do just that in this country kept FREE by amazing and incredible soldiers like Dustin.

Simply put, I want to have a complete and reliable section for you all to turn to when you want to hit the town and see another local band play some good stuff! If you know of a band that should be listed here (You know, a cover/original band that you go to see), please drop me a line at the 'contact' page of this site. I really hate when you go to a band's site and they haven't updated their links since 1995!! Help me to keep this list current, and to give these guys and gals the props and networking they deserve. And by all means, WHEN WE AREN'T PLAYING, go check them all out!! HA! Hello Friends!!!

Ya know, there just aren't any Rock-n-Rollers out there that DON'T have a list of Rock Icon Hero's that they look up to for inspiration and admiration.  And I'm guessing that Steven Adler and anyone else in the original Guns-n-Roses is on that list for ALL OF THEM!  I know, they are all on MY list!  And that is why we are very excited to be opening for Steven's band Adler's Appetite this Friday night at Club Red in Tempe.  And I just heard a rumor that the show is almost SOLD OUT, and this makes me very happy and a bit nervous!  If you haven't yet got tickets, you can do so by logging on to www.ticketmaster.com... the tix are close to $20 after the service charge, and worth every penny... The Adler's Appetite show is getting great reviews, and you already know what you will get with TERASHAIN!!!  Adler will be performing all of the hits from Guns-n-Roses Appetite for Destruction CD and many more.  He has an all-star band that features Chip Znuff from Enuff-z-Nuff, Michael Thomas, and Alex Grossi from Quiet Riot!  This is gonna be a great night of Rock... Rock Addix and Jack Ripper will also open the show.  We hope to see you there! 

AND, on Saturday night, we will back at The Blooze Bar, in Phoenix.  We will go on stage at around 10:30 and will close the show for Trailer Park.  COME MAKE IT A TERASHAIN WEEKEND!!!

Oh, man... Another milestone.  I've never seen a crowd like THAT in 20 years of playing to Arizona crowds!  You all were AMAZING at the Grand Re-Opening for The Blooze Bar last Friday night.  By the time we took the stage at 9pm, it was wall-to-wall, standing room only as far as the eye could see!! AND, you all know how to scream and make some serious noise.  We were blessed to be the very first band to play on the new stage with the new PA System and lighting, and it was cool.  It was great be be back "HOME"!!! I know I'm not alone when I say that we have really missed this place, and Tumbleweed and staff did an excellent job getting all the details together for this HUGE weekend.  Had an amazing time with you all...

AND now it's time to get back to work!  We have taken a short break from playing our Arena Cover show, but we are BACK!  Come out this Friday night to O'Kelley's Bar in Mesa (2120 W. Guadalupe) and party with us!  If you have never seen our full show, but you were there at The Blooze to catch us for the first time, you will get all that we did, plus an additional 3 hours of high energy, Arena Rock cover tunes, and our own brand of Terashain originals from 20 years of writing tunes!  Come out and play!  You'll find all of the juicy details including a map to O'Kelley's on the 'shows' page of this site!

That's right folks... If you are like us, we've been moping around, feeling like something has been missing for the last few months... and, AS PROMISED, like the return of a long, lost friend... THE BLOOZE BAR will officially re-open it's doors on October 15th!  This special event will be marked with a huge weekend of parties at the New Blooze!  Terashain is proud to start off the festivities on Friday night, October 15th at 8pm.  Make sure you get there nice and early to get a good seat, and to help us toast to the new place!  It will be great to see all of our Blooze buddies again, and to finally get back to my favorite stage in Arizona!  Razer and Rock Addix will finish off the night, and many more events are planned for Saturday and Sunday night as well.  Please see the poster below for all the juicy details!  

Also, don't forget about our first full show since JUNE!! We will be rockin' O'Kelley's in Mesa on Friday, October 22! Yeah, it really HAS been that long... Well folks, you know how it goes sometimes... Sometimes you're the bug, and sometimes you're the windshield!!!  We're feeling a bit like the bug... We were originally supposed to play this Friday night at Smokey's Bar & Grill in Mesa.  Unfortunately, Smokey's has closed their doors temporarily, and it looks as though it may be a while before they are back in business.  I really do not know all of the details, but I do know that we will not be able to play our show there this Friday.  PLEASE accept our apologies for the schedule change.  We know that it has been a while since we have been on stage for you, and TRUST ME, we are dying to party with you all again!  Please keep your eyes peeled to this site for any last minute show additions.....

Word has it that The Blooze Bar will be re-opening it's doors in mid-September!! How cool is that?  I don't know about you folks, but I am missing that place big time right now.  We will let you know if Terashain will take part in any re-opening ceremonies or shows.  Thanks again to all that made it out to Joe's Grotto last month, or to ANY of the fund raisers for the staff of The Blooze.

We hope book another show real soon to replace this Smokey's gig.  Thanks for your patience!

Thats right! It's about time this band put out a live CD and DVD that captures the energy and excitement that we have all come to know as the TERASHAIN live show! We need YOU to come out and make as much noise between tunes as you CAN so we can share the TERASHAIN experience with the rest of the world! This live CD will be marketed all over the country. We even have a bit of a fan base in Europe and in Asia as well, and they are waiting for a live CD from this band. The plan is to record on September 18th at Club Red (Tempe) and then to take a bit of time to mix and master it and then it's off to be produced and should be in your hot little hands sometime in the early FALL!!!!  We are also planning to shoot video for the show to be added with previous footage for a LIVE DVD, and we will be shooting interviews with all of YOU to be added to the footage.  ALL of your favorite TERASHAIN tunes from the "Truth" CD and the "Dawns Early Life" CD as well as the new song, 'Alibi's' are in the plans to be included... and of course all of YOU screaming your asses off between songs! We will be opening the show for Bang Tango that night, and it will be a HUGE party. We will bring you more details to the 'Shows' page as they become available! What a great day of Rock-n-Roll over at Joe's Grotto today.... Tons of Blooze Bar fans turned out throughout the day to pay respects and to help support the re-build of The Blooze bar today.  The bands started at Noon and ran all day and night until 1am, and what a show it was.  Every genre that Tumbleweed has supported and put up on his stage was represented today, and there was some great talent.  We proudly took the stage at 3pm sharp and pounded out a 45 minute set, kicking off with our new tune "Alibi's" and cranking right through with cover tunes and originals.  What a great time.  We hang out with old friends, met some new friends, and got a chance to catch up with some of our local band brothers and sisters.  GREAT fun today.  We've posted pics from the event on the 'Photos' page.  If you missed it, you have other chances to pay tribute to The Blooze Bar at some other venues around town in the coming weeks.  You will find an earlier post on this page (pan down!) that will contain much of the information.  Please feel free to contact us with any questions, and we will try to steer you in the right place!

First, we want to let you know that Terashain will play a benefit for the Blooze owners and staff over at Joe's Grotto on Sunday, July 11th.  We go on at 3pm, but the day starts at 1pm.  There is a HUGE list of talented bands, and you won't want to miss this show.  Come out and show Tumbleweed and crew what The Blooze means to all of us, and help raise money for these people that will be out of work while The Blooze is rebuilt.  You'll find a complete listing of the bands and times on the 'Shows' page.

There are many other Blooze Benefit shows taking place around the valley.

Hey all.  

Well, by now most of you have heard the sad news about The Blooze Bar.  It's been all over the local news today, and I'm even proud to say that one station called it a "local favorite watering hole"... I think that fits!  The Blooze Bar burned early this morning as a result of an electrical fire in the attic.

I'm lucky enough to say that I've probably sung my ass off on that stage NO LESS than 250 nights @ 4 hrs/night, totalling 1000 hours.  This band has probably played there to AT LEAST 5,000 faces over the last 8 years.  No doubt that we've made friendships there that will last LONGER than this band has been around (20 years).  And I think that maybe I've consumed no less than 30 gallons of beer there.  (I'm being VERY conservative on that one!!)  There have been weddings there.  Marty (from Rock Addix) and his wife Tina just recently renewed their wedding vows there.  Dave and I (Roger) celebrated our 40th Birthday Party there with so many of you.  We rang in 2009 AND 2010 there with all of you in HELLACIOUS parties.  There is a very good possibility that at least one child has been conceived there. (No, not MY kids, and I DON'T care to elaborate....) And we have played "Rebel Yell" in that place WAY more times than I even WANT to remember!

These memories are a HUGE part of the TERASHAIN history.  I know it sounds hoaky, but the place (not unlike on the series CHEERS) really was a personality itself.  It was like an old buddy that you could always depend on.  You were always treated right in there, and it just felt like "Home".  I've ALWAYS looked forward to our parties at The Blooze.  The weekend just never could come around soon enough.

And, although we mourn the passing of this AWESOME establishment, the members of this band look forward to the FUTURE of The Blooze Bar.  The magic CAN be passed on to whatever Tumbleweed cooks up as he sorts through the ashes, and begins to rebuild.  It's up to all of us to help keep it alive.

Thanks for the memories, Old Buddy Blooze!  

And, we welcome, and toast to a NEW FRIEND, and look forward to breaking the place in!!! Raise your glasses, friends...

Hey All... If you look at the credits on the 'Truth' CD, you will see that it was recorded by Mark DeCotiis at Location 21 Studios. I just found out that Mark passed away this morning, and we are all really bummed. He was more than just an engineer to us, he was a good friend. Mark spent so much time with us on our first studio recorded CD. He was a patient, creative, and hilarious guy! As Lance's cousin, Mark was so supportive of everything that Lance did. The two of them shared that common thread of being in the 'Music Biz', and were usually seen at Family functions, or Terashain events in the corner, comparing notes. Mark made the 'Truth' project a complete blast, and we will miss him tremendously. Please join us in keeping Marks family in your thoughts and prayers. RIP, friend! Rog/Terashain

Happy Memorial Day Weekend to All! Just wanted to let you all know that we have booked a couple of shows this summer over at O'Kelley's in Mesa. This bar is such a cool venue for a great rock show. The staff is VERY cool, the stage is just right, and the band... Well, what can I say? You gotta come out and see for yourselves! So, to all of you that have NOT been out to a TERASHAIN show recently, come see why it's always such a great party. The people that come out to our shows are so damn fun, it's just guaranteed that you will have a great time. We've changed and added to our set list over the last few months, written a new Terashain tune, and you know that we always have such a great time playing for ya. DAMN! Picture it. The lights go out. The crowd goes wild. Smoke fills the stage. Our extended version of "Bearded Dragon" plays as an intro for the show. I'm standing off the side of the stage, and I'm thinking, "Ooooo, this is gonna be fun!" My four best buddies are straping on their instruments, gearing up for a serious release. Our friends (some that have been on a 20 year journey with us, and some new), family and fans stand waiting in Club Red for some good ole American melodic rock.... It's time to play!!! Friends, it just doesn't get any better than this. This is the pay-off to a long road filled with lengthy practices, time away from family, and serious hard work. And you give us this reward... YOU!!! We had such a great time Saturday, and YOU are to thank. I can only hope that you all had HALF as much fun as we did. Greetings FRIENDS!!! Long time, no update! I know... you all know how it goes.. life gets so damn busy sometimes! But it doesn't mean we aint thinkin about ya!!!! As you can imagine, the biggest thrill we get from our live shows is playing our own tunes for you all, and hearing what you think of them, and watching you react to them... it's kinda like showing off your kids!! So with great pleasure, I get to announce to you that we will be playing an ALL ORIGINAL show, opening up for Bang Tango at Club Red on Saturday, March 27th! We're putting together a hard rockin, slam-dunkin show for ya made up of tunes from TRUTH, DAWNS EARLY LIFE, and maybe even a surprise or two... Get your tickets early - they are $15 bucks in advance (Rockzone Records or TICKETWEB) or $20 if you get them at the door. Doors open at 7pm, and the show starts at 8pm, with Terashain taking the stage at 11pm. Well, last weekend you did it. You showed up at O'Kelley's for our big debut there in Mesa, and YOU are the reason they asked us back. We had a great time with you all! What a party. AND, the day after, come back out to The Blooze and nurse that hangover for round two of the party! AND we will be playing another HUGE event for the City of Glendale... Glendale's Glitter and Glow Block Party brought in more than 75,000 people last year. It officially marks the end of the holdiay season with over 1.5 million lights, Hot air balloons, 12 bands of all styles, free parking, and free admission... Hey Gang! How are ya? I hope things are cooling down a bit for you, with summer coming to a close... the kids back in school, Halloween stuff already hitting the stores, and the chill is in the air... .Yeah right, 99 degrees in Phoenix right now as I write this... HA! I just wanted to let you know that things are progressing nicely in rehearsals for our "Vacation's Over" party over at The Blooze Bar in October. JQ is pickin up on the stuff, and it's really starting to sound great! I have to tell ya how excited I am to be getting back out on that stage and seeing all of you guys out there. After 19 years of doing this, I really don't get nervous anymore, but there is this really cool excitement that I have as I think about how the night is gonna go - the set list is complete, the equipment is working great, and the guys are ready to go, so I know it's gonna be business as usual up there - a kick ass rock show, with about 200 friends jamming and dancing along. We hope you can make it, and we just can't wait to see ya. Just wanted you to know! Oh, and BIG thanks to all of you that have sent well wishes and prayers our way concerning the loss of our friend and cousin Darryl. You all are great friends! See ya very soon... Rog

Hello Friends, Fans, and Family... I'm writing this tonight after a long, rough day of reflecting on a good friend that we all lost this morning. Darryl Godwin lost his battle with cancer today. Darryl was only 50 years old. Many of you know that Darryl is Niki's cousin (Lance's wife), but just as importantly, he was a dedicated member of our extended Terashain family, and was with us for every event, Christmas party, camping trip, and many of the shows. In the last year we have held drawings, and raffles and YOU all have been instrumental in helping Darryl and his wife Debbie in getting thru the trough financial pitfalls that went along with Darryl's affliction. That is what family does for each other, and tonight it makes me very proud that I'm a part of that family. So many of you also know that before Darryl's illness, he used to host a HUGE Haunted House for Halloween. He used to spend thousands on scary props and building materials, and usually started the whole project early in the summer with his group of sidekicks appropriately named "The Haunt Club". The unique thing about this whole project is that Darryl and Debbie ALWAYS charged a canned food item that would be donated to help the needy for the upcoming Holiday Season. That was Darryl. He would give you the shirt off of his back, and he didn't even have to know you... Speaking for me personally, I will miss the practical jokes, the delicious meals he would cook for our camping trips (You introduced me to eableskivers!!!), his enthusiasm and leadership for the band gatherings, his sense of humor, and his slightly twisted collection of Halloween artifacts, most of which he passed on to me. Tonight I'm feeling so lucky and grateful to have shared these things with this inspirational guy. Tonight our thoughts and our prayers are with his wife Deb, his son and daughter, and cousins Niki and Lance and the rest of his family and close friends. HELLO THERE FRIENDS! I know, long time, no hear!! I'm so sorry about that... Things have been crazy lately, and time has slipped away from me, and before you know it 2 months pass and I haven't been in to see ya! I pledge to do better, and reassure you once again that we miss you all so much during this hiatus! BUT, just because we aren't out rockin the clubs, doesn't mean that we aren't getting stuff done around here in Terashainville. We have been working together to get JQ up to speed in learning the covers and originals that will make up our "Vacation's OVER!" party over at the Blooze in October. Things are progressing nicely, even tho we are without our bass player! Lance has been busy this summer touring the country with Bang Tango and the Bullet Boys, and he's having a BLAST! He says the places are just packed with crazy rock fans that just want to hear serious ROCK all night long... and we hope that you will be in the mood for just that as well when we hit that stage in October!.....Go see Lance and Bang Tango if they are in your neck of the woods... tour dates posted on the home page.... New merchandise will be coming your way on this site on Friday, August 28th! We will debut a new ladies tank top and a cool long sleeve biker shirt for when things finally start to cool down... come in and check out the loot next Friday.... HELLO FRIENDS! HAPPY 4TH OF JULY TO YOU ALL! And a HUGE thanks to all of our troops on this Independence Day for all of your hard work in keeping America FREE! We have a bit of schedule news for you... We have had to push back our comeback show to October! We know, we know... we are bummed as well. BUT, our boy Lance has landed a HUGE opportunity for a large summer tour with Bang Tango and he will be working double duty playing bass for the Bullet Boys as well! This one was too big to pass up, and it's a GREAT opportunity for him, and we couldn't me more proud, and supportive of his endeavor! All it really means for Terashain fans is that you will have to wait just a bit more for your fix... but we promise it will be worth the wait. We will be working with JQ learning all of the tunes, and we may even come up with a few surprises - just for making you wait! It's the least we can do. Hello Friends! I hope the beginnings of Summer are finding you well, and happy! Thanks again for coming out to play at The Blooze for Lances Birthday... you really fired us up to get back out and play live again.... AND SPEAKING OF HITTING THE STAGE AGAIN... We would like to introduce you to the new drummer for TERASHAIN! Ladies and Gentlemen... With great pleasure, we are pleased to bring you JQ!!! His name is John Catania, but he is known affectionately as JQ. (story below in his BIO...) We are very excited to be working with JQ, and you will soon find out just why... He's an ANIMAL on the drums, and fits in very nicely with all of our sick humor and musical enthusiasm. Now, writing this is a bittersweet task for me, as Mikee Carnicom has been a stable, shaping force in this band for 10 years, and you just don't part ways easily with a brother after that long. Mikee is continuing his journey in the music business as the full time drummer for our good friends SHUT UP AND DRIVE, and it should be noted, we are all parting ways very respectfully as friends, brothers, and fellow musicians. Mikee won't be behind the drums the next time you see the band, but you can bet that he will ALWAYS be a part of this family, and you will feel the mark he has left on us all as musicians. We love ya, Mike, and always will! Thanks for your dedication to our project, and we wish you well in your new endeavors! You'll kick ass no matter who you play with, that's for sure! Here is a bit about the man that will call TERASHAIN home behind the kit... J.Q. grew up in the rock and metal scene in New York, working as a light tech at the famed L’Amours in Brooklyn. In his early teens, he began taking bass and drum lessons, which is how he earned his nickname. He would show up at his music teacher’s house early, and the teacher would put him in front of the TV, watching “Johnny Quest” until it was time for his lesson. He started calling him Johnny Quest, which got shortened to J.Q. and stuck like velcro. J.Q. played in many bands in the New York/New Jersey area, most notably Atlantic recording artists American Angel and Child, which included vocalist John Kosco who later went on to front Dropbox. These bands opened for many national acts including Skid Row, L.A.Guns, Slaughter, Cinderella, Ratt, Wasp, Ace Frehley, and Type O Negative. Having recently relocated to Phoenix, J.Q. is excited about joining Terashain and playing with top-notch musicians…adding a little Brooklyn attitude to the mix! We hope you will all show JQ that TERASHAIN hospitality that we were not even able to put into words when we were telling JQ about YOU ALL! On a little side note: This guy came in and BLEW us away on the Terashain originals, and the guy has LOTS of ideas for future tunes, so we have a lot of work to do.
On behalf of the whole band, we really want to take the time to thank ALL of you that came out for an audition/meeting with us for this position. We weren't blowing smoke up your butts when we told you that this was gonna be a tough call, and in the end, we just really had to go with the guy that was gonna be the FUTURE of Terashain songs while giving the past tunes the respect they deserve. You are all a great bunch of dudes, and we sure hope there aren't any hard feelings out there! THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR HARD WORK!

That is what you are to us! I think YOU may have broken a record for us with your attendance at The Blooze this last weekend!! In 18 years of performing with this band, I've never seen a turnout quite like THAT ONE! Not only was it one of our biggest crowds, it was one of the most enthusiastic, fun, energetic, and CRAZIEST crowds we've had! You all came out early to party, and you stayed late, and we just freakin' LOVE you for that! Lance sends his appreciation to all of you for all the beer/liquor you sent up to the stage - HA! The boy could hardly walk after the show! And your comments and messages on MySpace have been pouring in, and it sure makes us feel good that you enjoy the show, and that you all have a good time with us. THANKS for being our friends! Hey Friends! We will be back out in Mesa this Friday night, rockin a new place for us - Smokey's Bar & Grill! Well, it looks like it's finally gonna happen! Arizona is getting a theme park, and if you are a fan of Rock-n-Roll, well it's gonna be HUGE! Hell, it's gonna be HUGE, anyway! The park is going to be centered around Rock during the 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's, and 90's and will feature such attractions as the AC/DC Thunderstruck Roller Coaster, The Hotel California Log Ride, and the Welcome to My Nightmare Haunted Tower. The park will sit on 125 acres between Phoenix and Tucson, off of the I-10 freeway. In comparison, Walt Disney's Magic Kingdom in Orlando sits on 107 acres! Compton Terrace Amphitheater will even be included in the park. The target opening for Decades is the Fall of 2013. Hello ALL! Some of you have been following this band for many, many years (Don't worry, I won't put ya on the spot, here!). Some of you know how much this band has endured - good and bad! I'm very proud of the history of this band, and my role in it. I have been digging through some old photos and mementos recently, and I just figured that it may be time to share this story with those of you that may have jumped aboard in recent years, and aren't familiar with the rich history of TERASHAIN. The History will span from 1990 to today, and I will try to include every detail that I can possibly remember. Now, I realize that this will be interesting to some of you, and some others probably won't be into it, and that is OK, too! Whatever the case, I hope you take the opportunity to read it, and that you pick something up that you may not have known. This band has had the pleasure to work with some pretty great guys over the years, and I'm damn proud to know em all. Thats what we feel right now. Lucky. Lucky to have such a great bunch of friends that show up and give us one hell of a party at the shows. AND, you came out despite having to pay over $4/gallon... YOU ARE THE BEST! I think we managed to give Lance a good send off for the Bang Tango tour, and I think we managed to ring the Summer in just right! Lance will be touring this amazing country starting in early July and will be away until late August, so we won't be booking any shows during that time. If you have any summer vacation travel plans, please check out the Bang Tango tour dates on Lance's MySpace site to see if you might be in a city where they will be playing. It's always a party and a great show with Bang Tango! We will keep you posted on the juicy stories from the road thru Lance (Well, the ones that we can TELL, anyway!)... The remaining members of the band will be working on new material for the next CD. We have recorded a bunch of ideas and bits of tunes and they are really sounding great so far. Hello MUSICAL FRIENDS! Hope this finds you all very well, and happy. I just wanted to let you all know what is happening in the TERASHAIN camp and also fill you in on some stuff you may find interesting in the ROCK WORLD! First, Terashain has been booked to open up the SUMMER lineup at The Blooze! We will be rockin' in Summer on June 6th and 7th with "SUMMER BASH", and as usual, we are gonna make it a hell of a party, so mark your calendars now! Don't forget: When you come to a TERASHAIN show, you should plan on coming out for BOTH nights, because, unless vigorously requested, we WILL NOT REPEAT A SONG! You get two nights: (almost 8 hours) worth of Rock from the 70's/80's/90's and today... And we have even added some tunes since the April shows, so get your butt to the Blooze for both nights! More info, including a map can be found on the "SHOWS" page... Some other Rock-n-Roll stuff I have found in my surf searches that you may find cool: Iron Maiden is back in America!!!!! They will be rockin Cricket Pavillion on May 26th! (Gotta see Eddie!)...Def Leppard will release a new CD on April 29th called "Songs from the Sparkle Lounge" - the first single "Nine Lives" features an unexpected guest singer: country crooner TIM McGRAW, and he sounds pretty cool rockin out with the Lepps. They are on tour with REO Speedwagon and Styx currently, and then will tour with former Vivian Campbell band Whitesnake later in the year, sorry no Phoenix dates yet.... Judas Priest will release "Nostradamus" on June 17th, and will bring the "Metal Masters Tour" to Phoenix at Cricket Pavillion on August 28th with Heaven and Hell, Motorhead, and Testament (WOW!)...Journey will release "Revelations" on June 3rd and will play Cricket Pavilion in Phoenix on October 3rd with Cheap Trick and Heart. This CD will feature new lead vocalist Arnel Pineda...And, Motley Crue will tour this summer with Buckcherry, Papa Roach, SIXX:A.M. and Trapt on the "CRUE FEST" tour! That will be a hot one for sure! It's gonna be a hot summer for 80's hair bands. Don't let anyone tell you that this kind of music is dead and gone....that's a line a crap! I got home just after 4am on Sunday morning after unloading the equipment from the shows this weekend, and I couldn't sleep. You all just blew us away this weekend. Well, we've come down the the last week. Final preps will take place all this weekend here in OUR camp for the big premier next weekend. We've kept alot under wraps, but I will let you know that you will hear some new (and unexpected) bands in our cover list, such as: AND, the TERASHAIN stuff has taken on a whole new spirit with the touch of Tevis Maloney on guitar... I just really think you're gonna witness the release of 9 months of pent up rock and rolll nuclear energy from five very enthusiastic musicians ON FIRE! At least, I hope that's how it goes! My brain is filled with so many new lyrics and I'm just a touch nervous about my role, but I will make it work somehow. Hey All… I’m in that Christmas sharing mood, so please bear with me for a moment while I share a thought or two… I was just sitting in front of the Christmas tree on this Christmas Eve, heavily reflecting on what it all means to me this year (I guess the heavy reflecting COULD be from the delicious liquid spirits I’ve been sipping on…)… Anyway, I’m in my nice warm home, with a loving wife, wonderful baby boy running around in awe of all of the decorations we have in the house, and plenty of homemade treats on the table. I’m waiting for our extended family members to arrive to spend the night so that they can see Logan’s face in the morning when he notices the results of Santa’s arrival. I got to thinking about those maybe not quite as fortunate as I am this season. Specifically, those that are working for this country in a place far away from home, or anything CLOSE to comfort, loved ones, or children laughing. I’m not only very grateful to these folks for the sacrifices they are making for my freedom today, but for those soldiers throughout history that have made similar sacrifices (and for many, the ultimate sacrifice) so that I can enjoy this Holiday season the American way – COMPLETELY FREE! Hello FRIENDS! I just wanted to drop a quick line to you... As all of you know, we are in the process of updating our show, and therefore we are NOT playing live at this time. We estimate that the "overhaul" to our set list will be complete sometime in early 2008. Things are going GREAT. Working with Tevis has been incredible. Hey all... I'm kinda bummed out right now. I just found out that Kevin DuBrow's neighbors found him dead in his Las Vegas home on Sunday. He was 52 years old. Kevin was the lead singer for Quiet Riot, 80's hair metal band responsible for the revival of Slade's "Cum on Feel the Noise". I had the pleasure of speaking with Kevin a few times over the last two years, after meeting him on an airplane after they had toured Europe. I will remember Kevin as that "cool" rock star that took the time to talk to a local-band singer from Phoenix, and treated me as if I was a long-time friend. You will be missed! Hey Gang—it’s Mikeee checking in and giving a big HELLO to the Terashain faithful and HOWDY to those of you stopping by for the first time. NICE TO SEE ALL OF YOU. Ok here we go. First off, I miss gigging and seeing everybody so don’t think that this is some sort of real bitchin vacation. I am feeling it like the rest of you. I am also going to assume that you all are up to date on Tevis coming on board—if not just scroll down a few entries until you see the news entry on him and get informed. Tevis is doing a great job absorbing all our material and we can’t wait to get back out with him and the new revamped show. Nice to see a lot of you at the Blooze a few weeks ago. Our buds Shut Up & Drive were most awesome hosts and certainly gave us all a great evening of quality entertainment. Pound for pound they are my favorite local band right now—if you haven’t seen them yet then get yer ass out and see them. A special shout to their drummer Nick for his upcoming wedding—congratulations to you and your future bride!!!!!!!!!!! Nothing really new on the equipment front (Not that YOU care) but sometimes musicians can be obsessed with gear like I am. I am still in love with those sparkling Pearls and really don’t have any reason to change them out for something else. My taste in my snare sound has changed. Yo friends and fans! How are things going? Are you happy to be getting out the long sleeves? Have you been spending a lot more time outside lately? Yep, Fall has fallen upon us, and it's feeling pretty good. The only thing missing this time of year is TERASHAIN on a stage near you partying it up with hundreds of friends! We miss you all a bunch. But, things are moving ahead very well. Our boy, Tevis has been busting butt 'absorbing' our material, and we have been rolling right along. I'm not even gonna tell you much about how it sounds, because I want YOU to hear for yourself. All I'm going to say is this: YES!!!!!!!!!!!! And even more important than the sound is the fact that you would never know this guy hasn't been playing with us, and hanging out with us for the last 15 years! He's a great guy, and we can't wait for you to see what he does for this band. Our boy Lance played in Anaheim, CA last night with his other band, Bang Tango. Lance and the boys opened up for Steven Adler (Guns 'n' Roses original drummer) and his band Adler's Appetite. Lance and Steven are actually good friends, which I think is completely COOL! And Dave Hassie and Rog (me) turned 40 a few days ago (I'm 2 days older than Dave, dammit! LOL) and had a whole lot of fun with you all at the Blooze - what a HUGE surprise. Hey ALL! Let me tell ya, it gives me GREAT pleasure to be sharing some very good news with you all. After six solid months searching for our 5th member, we have made our choice! Ladies and Gentlemen, meet Tevis Maloney!

Tevis comes to us from the popular blues-rock band "Poppy and the Usual Suspects". He brings a lot of experience, expertise, humor, comraderie and enthusiasm to the lineup. Hello FRIENDS! Big, huge thanks to all of you that made it out to the Crespin Car Wash last Saturday! YOU helped to bring in TWICE what was expected for the day, and we thank you so much for your generosity. This money will help in the burial expenses for Sonya, and the family has expressed how much your love has meant to them! Thanks again! A bit of news for you today about the show schedule for TERASHAIN. We have been telling you for a while now how excited we are to develop a new show for you – a show with all new tunes, new energy, and an improved sound. Our goal is to play an entire weekend worth of tunes for you and NEVER repeat a song all weekend – that’s 80 – 85 tunes! A whole lot of entertainment! Well, all that we have promised has turned out to be much more work than originally anticipated, and we feel as though the show we are putting together, complete with a second guitarist, is going to take a lot more time to build. FOR THIS REASON, WE HAVE DECIDED TO CANCEL THE REMAINING SHOWS FOR 2007. NOW, this decision did not come easy, as we NEVER like to cancel shows. We don’t want the reputation for being unreliable, and we REALLY, REALLY love to hang out with all of you guys. But we feel that we can make a much bigger impact when we get back out in the circuit if we have our full crew (new guitarist) and all new cover tunes for you, and then we can get back to PACKING the bar with new friends and crazy rock-n-rollers looking for a great, new show from a hot new TERASHAIN! Now, just because we won’t be playing shows doesn’t mean we won’t be active out in the bar scene. We plan on blowing off some steam with some of our local band brothers from time to time. We will need to get out there and party with YOU, and we love to go and see the other bands jam, too. As soon as we get a handle on a time line, we will keep you all posted as to when you will be able to catch our new show. I GUARANTEE you this – THIS is a new chapter for this band. You WILL see a new TERASHAIN when we come back out and hit that stage, and we hope you will like what you see and hear. It means a lot to us to be able to give you something new, and fresh. Yo Comrades... Many of you know what kind of a family we have here within the TERASHAIN community. We are all pretty close knit, and we will be long after this band stops playing (when we are 85!)... Most of you know Johnny and Tanya Crespin, and have heard about the loss of Johnny's 16 year old niece, Sonya earlier this month in a tragic car accident.


The Crespins are overwhelmed by all of the support that you all have given to their family in thoughts and prayers over the last few weeks. Not only has Sonya's passing been a tremendous blow to the family, but it has been a very expensive hardship, as well. We just wanted you to know about a car wash being held to raise money for the cost of Sonya's funeral. The event will be held on Saturday, September 8th from 8am to 2pm at the AM/PM store located at 3981 E. Guadalupe Rd, in Gilbert, AZ. (Guadalupe and Recker Rd.)

Fans and Friends: We have a bit of news to share with you about the future of TERASHAIN. As many of you know, we recently added a second guitarist to the lineup. Casey Weaver stepped up and joined the Terashain family in May. Unfortunately, sometimes in the music biz, things don't always go as planned... I'm sorry to say that Terashain will NOT be working with Casey. You know how life goes... sometimes it's just hard to get everybody on the same page. As you can probably imagine, all parties involved are dissapointed that this just didn't work out. Let me state this publicly: The remaining members of this band wish Casey Weaver nothing but the best for his future endeavors! We will remain friends with this funny, friendly, and talented guy. That is the truth. As for the future of the fifth member of TERASHAIN, yes, we will be searching for a second guitarist in the near future. Yo Dudes and Dudettes, How goes it? Life is good around here. Had a short practice last night with the guys, and it's sounding GREAT. Those of you that have followed us around for a while will really be surprised at some of the tunes we are covering. I'm digging the diversity. And, not only are we going to uncover a new TERASHAIN in October, but we've got new toys. Don't ya just love new toys? Especially musical stuff? We just added to the PA (a new Allen/Heath mixing board for you gearheads), and it's boosted our total sound by about 30%, in quality AND volume. Love it! And I'm getting a new Shure wireless mic! This thing actually searches out the cleanest channel to use. Easy. I like that. It's a SM58Beta (again for gearheads) and it's magic powers will make it so that I NEVER sing off key again. Yeah, right. I wonder how much somehting like THAT would cost me? Also, I'm really getting the hang of some of this website stuff, so I've been busy making additions to the site. If you go check out the Music page, you'll find EVERY song we've ever recorded, with a small story behind the song-writing, the full lyrics for each tune, a couple of options for listening to each tune, and you can even download 3 of them for FREE. There is also a Snocap store there if you wish to purchase downloads from "Dawns Early Life". Also updated is the TERASHAIN store. You can pick up everything from CD's to shirts to a logo decal, and pay for it all using Visa or PayPal. Thanks for all of you that are signing the guestbook. Hey Gang! How's everything? We miss you, and can't wait to get back out there. We are looking for some suggestions from our friends and fans. It's that time of year to start booking shows for 2008, and your assistance is needed! We want to know where you want to see us play. There are a few criteria about the club that must be met in order for us to fit in - First, they must book the band for the WHOLE weekend. There is a new trend out there to book the band for one weekend night, and it's simply too much work to set all of this up for ONE four hour show. Second, It has to be in a location that is far enough away from any of our existing venues as to not take away any of their businees when we are playing. In other words, we don't want to book at the competitors place - not if we wish to continue playing the club we have an existing relationship with! LOL... and Third, it has to have a stage big enough for our 5-piece arena-like kick-ass ROCK SHOW! If you think you know of a cool location, please e-mail me at terashainmail@cox.net.
