Greetings FRIENDS!!!
Long time, no update! I know... you all know how it goes.. life gets so damn busy sometimes! But it doesn't mean we aint thinkin about ya!!!!
As you can imagine, the biggest thrill we get from our live shows is playing our own tunes for you all, and hearing what you think of them, and watching you react to them... it's kinda like showing off your kids!! So with great pleasure, I get to announce to you that we will be playing an ALL ORIGINAL show, opening up for Bang Tango at Club Red on Saturday, March 27th! We're putting together a hard rockin, slam-dunkin show for ya made up of tunes from TRUTH, DAWNS EARLY LIFE, and maybe even a surprise or two...
Get your tickets early - they are $15 bucks in advance (Rockzone Records or TICKETWEB) or $20 if you get them at the door. Doors open at 7pm, and the show starts at 8pm, with Terashain taking the stage at 11pm. Also playing: Suicide Circus, Tiger Eyes, Top Dead Center, Middle Finger Mob, Rue Morgue, Whisker Biskit, and Bushpilot. These bands will be playing on two different stages. Come out and rock with us, and check out Lance playing double duty with us and Bang Tango!

Once again, Thanks for your support, and we will see you all in March!

SEE YOU AT THE SHOW!
Confusion.... - December 18, 2009
Folks, we are DEFINITELY playing tomorrow (Saturday, Dec. 19th) at Glendale's Jingle Bell Rockin' Nights. There has been some confusion about this, and I wanted to clear it all up. We were also asked to play for the City of Glendale in January, and we will not be able to play THAT show due to some scheduling conflicts. I'm so sorry for any mix ups out there. PLEASE come out Saturday night and have some fun with us in Glendale... We play from 6pm until 10pm. Parking is FREE, and your sure to get in the Christmas sprit after this party!
See you all there!

Great shows just keep coming up.... - December 9, 2009
Yo All!!
Happy Holidays to EVERYONE! Big thanks to the American Soldier that keeps us free and safe, and may you find a way to enjoy the Holidays wherever you may be, and know that you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers every day...
Big show news... we have been booked to play so many great shows coming up...
First, we will be playing the Glendale Jingle Bell Rockin Nights show on Saturday, December 19th....
And we are thrilled to bring you the GIANT New Years Eve show again this year at The Blooze Bar... You all know how much fun THAT is!
AND, the day after, come back out to The Blooze and nurse that hangover for round two of the party!
AND we will be playing another HUGE event for the City of Glendale... Glendale's Glitter and Glow Block Party brought in more than 75,000 people last year. It officially marks the end of the holdiay season with over 1.5 million lights, Hot air balloons, 12 bands of all styles, free parking, and free admission... Ya just gotta bring the family down for this one... It's on Saturday, January 16th...
AND we are pleased to finally be included in the band rotation for O'Kelley's out in Mesa. THIS PLACE ROCKS! We anticipate that we will be having some kick-ass shows at this place, and we hope you will show your support on January 30th when we make our debut!
OKAY, Gang....
That's it for now. We are busy, busy, busy practicing those tunes (even some X-mas tunes) for the upcoming show. Come out and play!
Happy Holidays, and Merry Christmas to all of you.
Thanks for another GREAT year!

Congratulations!! - October 1, 2009
Some good friends of ours tied the knot on September 26th! We had the honor of providing their first dance as Man and Wife with "Next To You" acoustically live during their reception... For a songwriter, that is the ULTIMATE compliment! Mike and Dawn, we all wish you the best, and thanks for the friendship!
it's getting closer... - September 16, 2009
Hey Gang!
How are ya? I hope things are cooling down a bit for you, with summer coming to a close... the kids back in school, Halloween stuff already hitting the stores, and the chill is in the air... .Yeah right, 99 degrees in Phoenix right now as I write this... HA!
I just wanted to let you know that things are progressing nicely in rehearsals for our "Vacation's Over" party over at The Blooze Bar in October. JQ is pickin up on the stuff, and it's really starting to sound great! I have to tell ya how excited I am to be getting back out on that stage and seeing all of you guys out there. After 19 years of doing this, I really don't get nervous anymore, but there is this really cool excitement that I have as I think about how the night is gonna go - the set list is complete, the equipment is working great, and the guys are ready to go, so I know it's gonna be business as usual up there - a kick ass rock show, with about 200 friends jamming and dancing along. We hope you can make it, and we just can't wait to see ya. Just wanted you to know!
Oh, and BIG thanks to all of you that have sent well wishes and prayers our way concerning the loss of our friend and cousin Darryl. You all are great friends!
See ya very soon...

Terashain loses a member of the family... - August 19, 2009
Hello Friends, Fans, and Family...
I'm writing this tonight after a long, rough day of reflecting on a good friend that we all lost this morning. Darryl Godwin lost his battle with cancer today. Darryl was only 50 years old. Many of you know that Darryl is Niki's cousin (Lance's wife), but just as importantly, he was a dedicated member of our extended Terashain family, and was with us for every event, Christmas party, camping trip, and many of the shows. In the last year we have held drawings, and raffles and YOU all have been instrumental in helping Darryl and his wife Debbie in getting thru the trough financial pitfalls that went along with Darryl's affliction. That is what family does for each other, and tonight it makes me very proud that I'm a part of that family.
So many of you also know that before Darryl's illness, he used to host a HUGE Haunted House for Halloween. He used to spend thousands on scary props and building materials, and usually started the whole project early in the summer with his group of sidekicks appropriately named "The Haunt Club". The unique thing about this whole project is that Darryl and Debbie ALWAYS charged a canned food item that would be donated to help the needy for the upcoming Holiday Season. That was Darryl. He would give you the shirt off of his back, and he didn't even have to know you...
Speaking for me personally, I will miss the practical jokes, the delicious meals he would cook for our camping trips (You introduced me to eableskivers!!!), his enthusiasm and leadership for the band gatherings, his sense of humor, and his slightly twisted collection of Halloween artifacts, most of which he passed on to me. Tonight I'm feeling so lucky and grateful to have shared these things with this inspirational guy.
Tonight our thoughts and our prayers are with his wife Deb, his son and daughter, and cousins Niki and Lance and the rest of his family and close friends.
For those of you interested, I will be posting service details on the site soon.
Thanks for reading, friends!
With Love, and on behalf of the entire band....
Roger
Vacation is ALMOST over!! - August 18, 2009
HELLO THERE FRIENDS!
I know, long time, no hear!! I'm so sorry about that... Things have been crazy lately, and time has slipped away from me, and before you know it 2 months pass and I haven't been in to see ya! I pledge to do better, and reassure you once again that we miss you all so much during this hiatus!
BUT, just because we aren't out rockin the clubs, doesn't mean that we aren't getting stuff done around here in Terashainville. We have been working together to get JQ up to speed in learning the covers and originals that will make up our "Vacation's OVER!" party over at the Blooze in October. Things are progressing nicely, even tho we are without our bass player! Lance has been busy this summer touring the country with Bang Tango and the Bullet Boys, and he's having a BLAST! He says the places are just packed with crazy rock fans that just want to hear serious ROCK all night long... and we hope that you will be in the mood for just that as well when we hit that stage in October!.....Go see Lance and Bang Tango if they are in your neck of the woods... tour dates posted on the home page....
New merchandise will be coming your way on this site on Friday, August 28th! We will debut a new ladies tank top and a cool long sleeve biker shirt for when things finally start to cool down... come in and check out the loot next Friday....
And I leave you with this cool slide show tribute to the band... Founding guitarist, and one of my best buds in the world, Jon Anderson put together this tribute to the history of this band... I will admit that it made me laugh out loud, and it made me cry too (wow, to publicly admit THAT! Sheesh...) I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. I know that SOME of you were along for the ride back in the day, and your still here and we just LOVE you for THAT! The background song is "Believe In Me" off the Truth CD.
Enjoy the rest of your summer, and please keep in touch with us!
Much love,
Rog/Lance/JQ/Tevis/Dave

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMERICA!!!! - July 4, 2009
HELLO FRIENDS!
HAPPY 4TH OF JULY TO YOU ALL! And a HUGE thanks to all of our troops on this Independence Day for all of your hard work in keeping America FREE!
We have a bit of schedule news for you... We have had to push back our comeback show to October! We know, we know... we are bummed as well. BUT, our boy Lance has landed a HUGE opportunity for a large summer tour with Bang Tango and he will be working double duty playing bass for the Bullet Boys as well! This one was too big to pass up, and it's a GREAT opportunity for him, and we couldn't me more proud, and supportive of his endeavor!
All it really means for Terashain fans is that you will have to wait just a bit more for your fix... but we promise it will be worth the wait. We will be working with JQ learning all of the tunes, and we may even come up with a few surprises - just for making you wait! It's the least we can do. I'll tell ya, we are five guys that really cannot wait to get this show back out to you, so when October comes around, LOOK OUT! It's gonna be a hell of a party. Lot's of pent up energy will explode on that Blooze stage! Big thanks to Tumbleweed for being so great about our scheduling.
We will keep you posted on Lance's tour progress, and on our progress in developing one kick ass arena-style rock show!
We love you all, and miss you terribly!
Enjoy your summer, and take care!
Keep your eyes peeled to this site for more show additions and further updates.
See ya!

big, big, big news... - June 2, 2009
Hello Friends! I hope the beginnings of Summer are finding you well, and happy!
Thanks again for coming out to play at The Blooze for Lances Birthday... you really fired us up to get back out and play live again....
AND SPEAKING OF HITTING THE STAGE AGAIN...
We would like to introduce you to the new drummer for TERASHAIN! Ladies and Gentlemen... With great pleasure, we are pleased to bring you JQ!!! His name is John Catania, but he is known affectionately as JQ. (story below in his BIO...)
We are very excited to be working with JQ, and you will soon find out just why... He's an ANIMAL on the drums, and fits in very nicely with all of our sick humor and musical enthusiasm.
Now, writing this is a bittersweet task for me, as Mikee Carnicom has been a stable, shaping force in this band for 10 years, and you just don't part ways easily with a brother after that long. Mikee is continuing his journey in the music business as the full time drummer for our good friends SHUT UP AND DRIVE, and it should be noted, we are all parting ways very respectfully as friends, brothers, and fellow musicians. Mikee won't be behind the drums the next time you see the band, but you can bet that he will ALWAYS be a part of this family, and you will feel the mark he has left on us all as musicians. We love ya, Mike, and always will! Thanks for your dedication to our project, and we wish you well in your new endeavors! You'll kick ass no matter who you play with, that's for sure!
AND NOW, PLEASE WELCOME JQ!!!!!
Here is a bit about the man that will call TERASHAIN home behind the kit...
J.Q. grew up in the rock and metal scene in New York, working as a light tech at the famed L’Amours in Brooklyn. In his early teens, he began taking bass and drum lessons, which is how he earned his nickname. He would show up at his music teacher’s house early, and the teacher would put him in front of the TV, watching “Johnny Quest” until it was time for his lesson. He started calling him Johnny Quest, which got shortened to J.Q. and stuck like velcro.
J.Q. played in many bands in the New York/New Jersey area, most notably Atlantic recording artists American Angel and Child, which included vocalist John Kosco who later went on to front Dropbox. These bands opened for many national acts including Skid Row, L.A.Guns, Slaughter, Cinderella, Ratt, Wasp, Ace Frehley, and Type O Negative. Having recently relocated to Phoenix, J.Q. is excited about joining Terashain and playing with top-notch musicians…adding a little Brooklyn attitude to the mix!
We hope you will all show JQ that TERASHAIN hospitality that we were not even able to put into words when we were telling JQ about YOU ALL!
On a little side note: This guy came in and BLEW us away on the Terashain originals, and the guy has LOTS of ideas for future tunes, so we have a lot of work to do.
On behalf of the whole band, we really want to take the time to thank ALL of you that came out for an audition/meeting with us for this position. We weren't blowing smoke up your butts when we told you that this was gonna be a tough call, and in the end, we just really had to go with the guy that was gonna be the FUTURE of Terashain songs while giving the past tunes the respect they deserve. You are all a great bunch of dudes, and we sure hope there aren't any hard feelings out there! THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR HARD WORK!
Now, those of you that are frequent visitors to this site will want to keep checking in EVERY day for a possible SURPRISE live appearance by Terashain with JQ takin the drums for a test drive. This will be announced very soon, and will probably not have very much advanced notice, so please keep in touch with us. You won't want to miss our very first live show with this Thunder God on the drums!
Thanks to you all for your friendship, and we hope you are along with us for the future of this band!
Talk soon...
Rog/Dave/Tevis/Lance/JQ
unbelievable... - May 22, 2009
That is what you are to us! I think YOU may have broken a record for us with your attendance at The Blooze this last weekend!! In 18 years of performing with this band, I've never seen a turnout quite like THAT ONE! Not only was it one of our biggest crowds, it was one of the most enthusiastic, fun, energetic, and CRAZIEST crowds we've had! You all came out early to party, and you stayed late, and we just freakin' LOVE you for that! Lance sends his appreciation to all of you for all the beer/liquor you sent up to the stage - HA! The boy could hardly walk after the show! And your comments and messages on MySpace have been pouring in, and it sure makes us feel good that you enjoy the show, and that you all have a good time with us. THANKS for being our friends! If you are new to the Terashain Faithful, well WELCOME ABOARD, and buckle up your seatbelts, cuz you aint seen NOTHIN yet... We love you all and can't wait to see you all again.
We will be taking a short break from the live show, but we want you to keep your eyes peeled to this site and to the MySpace site for our next party date... We'll be back before you know it, because we just can't live without you!
Thanks again!
And on behalf of all of us, HUGE thanks go out to the Men and Women of the armed forces for all of your dedicated service to our country! To those that have ever served, are serving now, and to those that have given the ultimate sacrifice to keep us free, we will NOT forget it, and we are thinking of you and yours this Memorial Day! YOU ROCK!
See you all soon...

We had such a blast yesterday at KDKB's Desert Invasion! Our boys Lance and Mikee started the whole thing out with a big Bang... BANG TANGO, that is! They really rocked! The highlight was the end of the set with the boys being joined onstage by the legendary Dee Snider from Twisted Sister! Our Boy Josh is in boot camp!.... - April 7, 2009
Hey all...
Many of you that have been at the last couple of shows know that Dave and Karla Hassie's son Josh just recently enlisted in the Army and is currently in Boot Camp in Kentucky. I just wanted to share his address with you all so that we can all send him some letters of support from the home front from a bunch of Rockers that sure do appreciate what he and his friends are doing! If your interested, send Josh a letter on plain white paper, with NO photos or markings. This is important because he can get in some trouble if it's not a plain letter! (Our Army is strict on the details!)
His address is:
PV2 PEDERSON JOSHUA
4th Platoon
A Troop, 5-15CAV
Ft. Knox, KY 40121
I'm sure by now the boy is lonely for home, so any length of message that you could send would be greatly appreciated! Thanks for your support!
Your pals...

Back in the East Valley again... - March 31, 2009
Hey Friends!
We will be back out in Mesa this Friday night, rockin a new place for us - Smokey's Bar & Grill! We really need to show these guys what we can do, so we hope you can come out and purge yourself of all of that work stress from the week! You'll find the address and a detailed map on the 'shows' page...
Also, we have dropped a May date from The Blooze schedule and added an April date! We will celebrate Lance's Birthday on Saturday, May 16th over at The Blooze! We tend to get a little crazier for this... OK, LANCE tends to get a bit crazier (if you can believe THAT!), so make some plans to come hang with us! And we have added April 18th to the list as well! We call The Blooze our HOME BASE now, and for damn good reason. We have some GREAT parties out there with Tumbleweed and his excellent staff, so come out and see what the fuss is about.
Have a great week, and we will see you this Friday night in Mesa!
